Pin titles that survive a sceptical CFO
A naming pattern for pinned query results so briefing rooms stop debating what the number means.
A pin titled “Sales” invites five interpretations. A pin titled “Gross merchandise value · delivered orders · week 22 · Peninsula stores” invites one argument about the business, not the definition.
We teach a four-part title: measure, grain, period, scope filter. Analysts resist the length until the first meeting where nobody asks “is that net?” afterwards.
Keep the long title on the pin; shorten only on the exported slide if design forces it, and keep the long form in the speaker notes.
