The practice

A small room for a slow reading of credit files.

QueryEngine Hub Advisory is an independent practice in Kuala Lumpur. We are hired by lenders, credit companies, and development-finance counterparts who already use scoring engines and who need someone to sit with the application packs those engines consume.

Quiet office interior used for document review

Why the practice exists

Scoring shortened the path from application to decision. It did not shorten the file. Income still has to be evidenced. Related parties still have to be named. Overrides still have to be written. When those jobs are done hastily, the engine looks decisive and the pack does not survive a later reader.

We started the practice to do that later reading on purpose, while the origination window is still close enough for operations to change a checklist. The work is financial and documentary. It is not software implementation, and it is not a substitute for internal audit’s full mandate.

Clients are typically Malaysian banking groups, specialised lenders, and credit providers with books in personal financing, hire purchase, cards, or SME working capital. We will also read a sample for a firm preparing a book conversation with second-line review or with a potential purchaser — always as a file audit, never as a valuation.

Where we sit

Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30 (MYT). Engagements are by appointment; we do not operate a walk-in counter for applicants.

Applicants and customers of our clients should contact their lender. We do not discuss a third party’s file with the public.

Who reads the packs

Named reviewers, not an anonymous bench

Each engagement has a lead who signs the report. The people below are the readers you will actually meet on a scoping call.

Portrait of Aisha Rahman, engagement lead

Aisha Rahman

Engagement lead, file audit

Aisha spent twelve years in credit operations and quality review at a Malaysian banking group before joining the practice. She leads pre-score and scored-sample readings, and she writes the findings that go to credit committee.

Lim Wei Chen

Commercial file specialist

Wei Chen reads SME and commercial packs for related-party trails, group facilities, and the gap between SSM exhibits and the application form. He previously worked in a mid-sized lender’s business-banking credit unit in the Klang Valley.
